Women's Safety

Being able to get a taxi easily anywhere, anytime is important for every woman.

There are the more light-hearted reasons such as:

  • Another bad blind date … " get me outta here!"
  • Out for a night of party-hopping with the girls
  • Your feet are too tired after a day of shoe shopping
  • It’s raining and you really want to look good when you get there

But unfortunately, every woman also needs to be street smart, aware and prepared to ensure she can get a safe ride home or sadly … some times …away from home.

Domestic Violence affects everyone in the family:

  • According to the US Department of Justice 1 in 4 females will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime. [1]
  • Domestic violence is the most common source of injury to women – it is more common than auto accidents, muggings, and rapes by a stranger combined. [2]
  • More than 4,000 women each year are killed by their partners. [3]
  • 63% of boys, ages 11 to 20, arrested for homicide, have killed their mother’s abuser.
  • According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, medical expenses from domestic violence are about $3-5 billion annually and businesses forfeit at least another $100 million in lost wages, sick leave, non-productivity and absenteeism. [2]
  • 5-10% of domestic violence victims are men, although this is a highly underreported number due to society’s stigmas. [3]
