1. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada, excluding Quebec. The contest is not open to residents in all other countries and where prohibited or restricted by law, regulation, rule or otherwise. This contest is subject to all applicable state, federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. One entry per mobile phone number is allowed.
To be eligible you must fully and accurately complete registration form and try #TAXI by calling #8294 on your mobile within 30 days of registering or download the #TAXI app at http://poundtaxi.com/download-app and then use the app to call #TAXI within 30 days of registering.
The "Try #TAXI Contest" (the "Contest" runs from 12.00.01 a.m. (ET) on Nov. 19, 2011 to 11:59.59 p.m. (ET) on March 31, 2012, the Contest Closing Date, (inclusively, the "Contest Period"). The Sponsor has the unrestricted right to end the contest at an earlier or later date at its sole discretion. If the Sponsor changes the Contest Closing Date then all registered callers during the Contest Period will have 30 days to call and be eligible to win $50 in cab rides and will help generate a $50 donation to the Charity. *For every 1000 registered callers to #TAXI who call #8294 within 30 days of registering or use our app to call #TAXI, The Sponsor will donate $50 to the Charity and award one $50 cab ride voucher.

2. PRIZES: The cab rides will be awarded as $50 dollar cab vouchers to whichever cab company the contestant chooses at time of redemption, if possible, or a reasonable substitute taxi company in the winner's city at The Sponsors sole discretion. The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or substituted for another prize or for cash. If the grand prize winners are legal residents of the U.S., the value of the taxi chits will be equivalent to $US 50. If the grand prize winner is a legal resident of Canada, excluding Quebec, the value of the taxi vouchers will be equivalent to $Cdn 50.
To enter the contest, the contestant must complete the web entry form by entering their mobile phone carrier, mobile phone number, including area code and a valid email address.
Alternatively, you may enter once (1) by ordinary mail, pre-paid postage, by writing to "Try #TAXI on your cell contest", 48 Yonge St., Suite 1200, Toronto, ON, M5E 1G6. Include your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and the words "I want to win". Handwritten entries must be readily legible and be received before March 31, 2012 11:59:59 p.m. (ET). One (1) handwritten entry per person or email address is permitted. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the entrant, the entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domains associated with the submitted email address).
3. PRIZE WINNER SELECTIONS:The Sponsor will randomly draw a winner of a $50 cab voucher for a cab company in their city each time 1000 registered, eligible callers have made a call to #TAXI (#8294) on their mobile phone within 30 days of completing the Registration Form at CellWand Communications Inc., 48 Yonge St. Toronto ON (the Contest Judging Organization), one (1) prize winners will be selected at random, from among all eligible entries received during the contest period. If the selected entrants cannot be contacted by email (or fails to respond to email messages) provided at the time of entry within five (5) business days from the time of initial contact, he or she will be disqualified from the contest and forfeit the prize. The contest judges may, at their sole and absolute discretion, select at random another eligible entrant whom the contest judges shall attempt to contact, and who shall in turn be subject to disqualification. Upon receipt, all entries become the property of the contest sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to have the prize forfeited should the Contest Judging Organization not be able to award the prize or prizes within 15 days of attempted contact.
4. ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received by the contest closing date. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest judges, which are final and binding in all respects on all entrants.
Once contacted, a selected entrants must, in order to be declared eligible to receive the prize:
(i) Comply with all Official Rules for the Contest and the decisions of the "Sponsor(s)" with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final;
(ii) Correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question (which will be administered on the Declaration & Release form) without the assistance of another person or mechanical device; and,
(iii) Signed and completed Declaration & Release form, which shall serve as the selected entrant's agreement to release and indemnify the "Sponsor(s)", its respective subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with the Contest and/or the Prizes. If the Sponsor does not receive a signed and completed Declaration and Release form back from the selected entrant within five (5) days from the delivery of the Declaration & Release form to the entrant, then such entrant shall forego any right or entitlement to the Prize and the Independent Contest Judging Organization may draw another entrant's name.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
a) Limit is one entry per mobile phone number. Multiple enrolment to try #TAXI will result in the disqualification of all entries from said entrant. The Sponsor, nor any of its agencies, are responsible for any telephone, technical, network, electronic, computer, hardware or software failures, malfunctions, or disconnects of any kind, or misdirected, illegible, incomplete, stolen or garbled, fragmented, or delayed Internet/email computer transmissions or network/ISP/website/or Internet accessibility; or for lost, late, damaged, delayed, destroyed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or postage due entries submitted via regular mail.
b) The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of this Contest or website; to be in violation of the terms of service of the website, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account, the authorized account subscriber of the email account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these Official Rules. The authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domains associated with the submitted email address.
c) Employees and contractors of the "Sponsor(s)", its subsidiaries, affiliates, and/or related companies, and their respective agents; the independent judging organization, and the advertising, promotional and media agencies; and the employees and the immediate families of all of the aforementioned or persons with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to enter this contest.
d) The selected Entrant will be required to sign a document in a form acceptable to the Sponsor(s) releasing its directors, officers, employees and agents from all liability of any kind in connection with the contest, or occurring as a result of the prize being awarded. The selected Entrant releases the Sponsor and its subsidiaries and affiliates and/or related companies, and their respective agents, the independent judging organization, and the directors, officers, employees and agencies of any of the above organizations from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participation in the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of any Prize. By accepting the Prize, the Prize Winner consents to the use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and trade purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Participants waive the right to assert as a cost of winning any Prize, any costs of redemption or travel to redeem said Prize, and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said Prize.
e) By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the independent contest organization, which are final. Each entrant releases the "Sponsor(s)", its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents and advertising, promotional and media agencies from any damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of or arising from the entrant's participation in the contest or the use of any prize.
f) This Contest shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of Ontario applicable therein without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. All entrants to this Contest agree that all disputes arising out of, or relating in any way to this Contest shall be litigated only in courts sitting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The sponsor may modify and amend these rules and regulations as they appear online for this contest for clarification purposes without materially affecting the promotion.
